Private Counsel

Discreet advisory for founders and principals navigating complex, high-consequence decisions at the intersection of technology, finance, and power.

Positioning

I work privately with founders, owners, and senior principals who operate in environments shaped by technology, capital, regulation, and risk.

My role is to provide clear judgment and strategic reflection when decisions are irreversible, politically sensitive, or personally isolating.

This work draws on decades spent inside technology leadership, financial systems, innovation strategy, and forensic investigation—where discretion, accuracy, and consequence were non-negotiable.

This is not consulting, coaching, or advisory theater. It is private counsel, offered on a limited retainer and conducted entirely in confidence.

The Work

Engagements typically involve situations where technical complexity, financial exposure, and human dynamics converge.

This includes strategic decisions around innovation and transformation, internal power dynamics, risk and reputation, dispute and conflict resolution, and moments where leaders must think clearly without relying on consensus or noise.

Much of the work is conversational and situational. There are no frameworks, playbooks, or deliverables. The value lies in judgment, context, and the ability to see second- and third-order consequences before they materialize.

What This Is Not

– I do not offer operational consulting or implementation services

– I do not provide motivational or performance coaching

– I do not publish or speak about client engagements

– I do not accept work that compromises independence, discretion, or ethical boundaries

Engagement

I work on a private retainer with a small number of clients at any given time.

Access is direct and prioritized. Availability and continuity are integral to the engagement.

Most relationships begin through referral and continue quietly over extended periods.

Background

My background spans technology leadership, financial systems, innovation strategy, and forensic investigation.

I have served as founder, CEO, CTO, and senior advisor across FinTech, professional services, public sector, and high-risk regulatory environments. My work has included corporate transformation, dispute mediation, fraud and financial crime investigation, and advisory roles requiring the highest levels of trust and discretion.

I hold advanced degrees in informatics and strategy, and have published extensively on innovation, knowledge systems, and strategic patterns.

Contact

I accept a limited number of new conversations each year.
